David Beckham Gifts New Puppy to Gordan Ramsey

January 12, 2010

David Beckham Ditches DogInternational soccer superstar David Beckham must have been a good boy in 2009 as he received a $3200 English bulldog for Christmas from his almost equally famous wife Victoria Beckham. But being a man who travels the globe on a regular basis, David realized he just didn’t have the time to be a good owner for his new pal. So what does any self-respecting celebrity do? He gives it away to his good pal Gordon Ramsay.

Now we’ve seen Hell’s Kitchen a few times, so we’re not quite sure what Coco (an interesting name for a bulldog I must say) has in store for him. Although it seems that the biggest grouches in the real world turn out to be sensitive slobs when it comes to their pets at home. One thing is for certain though, this dog is probably going to eat much better than the rest of us do.

RIP UGA VII

November 24, 2009

ugaIf you’re not a fan of college football, this story probably flew under your radar. Last week, the University of Georgia’s beloved bulldog mascot passed away at the young age of 4. UGA VII, was on the job for just two short seasons but touched the hearts of Georgia students, faculty, and fans. He led the Bulldogs to a 16-7 record while patrolling the sidelines.

UGA VII was much more than a symbol representing the school, he was also a beloved family pet and friend. His impact could be seen by the countless flowers and cards that were brought to the game in Athens on Saturday night. The University memorialized UGA prior to the game in a ceremony that touched the hearts of everyone in the stadium. They left his jersey and collar on his crate inside the stadium and will not replace him on the sidelines until next season. He was buried next to his father UGA VI in Sanford Stadium in a private ceremony prior to the game.

Watch Out! We Are Officially Blogging

November 1, 2009

We decided early on in the development of our dog store that we’d be starting a blog with it. Yeah it’s become cliche for stores to have their own blogs and for the most part, they are rather boring and a waste of time.

Hopefully we can change that a bit though. The focus of our blog won’t be on our store, but dogs in general. As massive dog lovers, we’re always joshing for a good story about dogs. Whether they’re funny, thought-provoking, inspiring, or sad. We just love dogs and love reading about them.
